Morris Hospital YMCA Hosting Co-Ed Basketball League This Fall

If you’re looking for a little friendly competition, the Morris Hospital YMCA has got you covered with our Adult Co-Ed Basketball League, which is set to return this fall! The league will run September 3-November 5 and registration is now open. Team spots are limited, so get a group of friends together and sign up today!

League Details:
• Games will be played at the Y on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m.
• All players must be 18 years or older.
• Rosters are due by the first game.

Rates:
Facility Member: $650 per team*
Community Member: $750 per team

*Team members qualify for member pricing if at least one member of the team has a Facility Membership at the YMCA.

Joliet Community YMCA Set to Host Fall Family Nights at Salvation Army Joliet Corps Community Center

The Y is excited to continue our ‘Family Night at Salvation Army’ series this fall! These get-togethers are the perfect way for families to enjoy a nice meal, participate in fun activities, and get to know other families in the community. Each event will feature raffle giveaways and families that attend all three events will be entered into a drawing for a special prize!

Bringing Our Community Together: Wild West Hoedown at the Galowich Family YMCA

Put on your best country outfit and dancing shoes because the Galowich Family YMCA is inviting the community to a Wild West Hoedown! Join us for an afternoon of dancing and fun with entertainment provided by the Blue Rocket Band!

Joliet Community YMCA Set to Offer Youth Enrichment Programs this Fall

The Joliet Community YMCA is excited to partner with Joliet Junior College, Messiah Lutheran Church, and the Salvation Army to reimagine the ways we can support families in the greater Joliet area. This fall, the Y will offer a variety of youth enrichment programs onsite at these three community locations. Registration is currently underway for YMCA Facility Members and will open on Saturday, August 9 for Community Members.

Village of Shorewood YMCA Invites Community to Participate in Outdoor Fitness Classes

As we prepare to open the new Village of Shorewood YMCA in 2026, the Y is excited to invite the community to participate in a series of FREE group exercise classes this fall! These outdoor classes will be wonderful opportunities to stay active, interact with peers, and see what Y fitness classes are all about! All classes will be held at Cene’s Four Seasons Park in Shorewood. See below for more details.

Family Fitness Bootcamp
Date: Monday, August 25
Time: 6-7 p.m.

Improve your health and enjoy time with your family! This fun fitness workout consists of sports drills, light weights, agility, fun games, and interval training.

Yoga (Ages 18 and up)
Date: Thursday, September 4
Time: 9-10 a.m.

This class uses movement and breathing exercises to work out your body and mind. Class begins with a simple warm up followed by stretching and relaxation.

Zumba Party (Ages 18 and up)
Date: Friday, September 12 
Time: 6-7 p.m.

Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program! Get your groove on!

Bootcamp (Ages 18 and up)
Date: Tuesday, September 16
Time: 7-8 a.m.

Bootcamp offers a mix of strength and cardio drills in circuits and intervals to put your body to the test. Exercises can be adjusted to skill and experience level.

PLEASE NOTE: A YMCA membership is not required, but participants will need to fill out a participation waiver form prior to attending a class. You can complete the waiver form by clicking below.

Always Here For You: New Membership Opportunity Now Available to YouthCare Families

The Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs is partnering with YouthCare to provide free YMCA memberships for children, teens, and young adults, up to age 21, in our community. Designed to support the overall physical and mental well-being of YouthCare members and their foster families, this new partnership will provide youth in care and former youth in care with access to Y programs and facilities.
