The JETS promote the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Swimmers come not only from Joliet but surrounding communities like Plainfield, New Lenox, Morris and Ottawa to improve their competitive swimming skills, develop confidence and leadership abilities, and to make lifelong friendships.

Last year, the Greater Joliet Area YMCA awarded more than $1.7 million in financial assistance to those who qualified.
