Holiday Canvas Painting Class
Thursday, December 1 | Noon-2 p.m.
In the spirit of the Christmas, the Morris YMCA is hosting a holiday-themed canvas painting class for adults, ages 50 and up. Registration fee includes how-to instructions, paint supplies, a canvas and refreshments.

This fall, we’re teaming up with Keigher Academy of Irish Dance to offer their renowned Irish dance lessons at the Morris YMCA.
Held Fridays Starting November 11
Ages 4-5: 5-5:30 p.m.
Ages 6-12: 5-5:45 p.m
Dance lessons are a great way to help improve your child’s coordination, confidence and rhythm. New dancers will learn reel and jig steps, as well as correct posture, stage presence, foot placement and timing.
To coincide with this year’s Corn Fest theme, the Morris Community YMCA will be honoring its very own Hometown Heroes throughout the week.
Each one of our honorees has inspired us tremendously in one way or another. Whether they’re inside our building, in their respective homes or out in the community, each of them embodies the true spirit of the Y.
On the inaugural day of Corn Fest 2016, we shared the first story in our five-part Hometown Heroes series on our Facebook page and blog. We’ll continue to post one story per day until Corn Fest concludes.
You may recognize some of our Heroes. You may not. Either way, we hope you’ll follow along throughout the week and enjoy getting to know some of the people that motivate us each and every day.

Corn Fest Coloring ContestCalling all Y Kids! To celebrate this very fun time of year in Grundy County, the Morris Community YMCA is hosting a Coloring Contest. Open to kids, ages 4-12, this is the perfect opportunity to let your artistic talents shine.
It’s easy to enter…
One winner in each age group will receive a YMCA trophy and fall gift basket. All entries are due by Friday, September 23.
The Y is looking to gain feedback from Grundy County parents on the types of programming they would like to see at the Morris Community YMCA.
