Golf and Dinner Tickets for the 2025 YMCA Mission Strong Golf Classic Now on Sale

Foursomes and dinner tickets for the 2025 Mission Strong Golf Classic, generously presented by Midland States Bank, are now on sale!

Join us on Wednesday, September 17 at ‘The Creek’ at Morris Country Club for an exciting day that will include:

  • 18 holes of golf with a cart
  • Lunch and complimentary beverages on the course
  • A cocktail reception, dinner and awards
  • A welcome gift, course games, prizes, raffles, and more

Proceeds from this event will benefit the YMCA Mission Strong Fund, which helps to ensure nobody is turned away from the Y due to the inability to pay.

Now in its fourth year, the Mission Strong Golf Classic has raised more than $200,000 to support children, adults, and families in our community. Let’s keep the momentum going in 2025!

Cost: $700 per foursome, $50 for dinner reception only*

At the Y, we know that learning doesn’t end when the school bell rings. The way children spend time outside the classroom can make a big difference in their personal development and family-life balance. YMCA before and after school care programs provide a safe place for children to keep their mind and body active while learning social skills and positive values.

Our before and after school team is dedicated to the Y’s mission and works tirelessly to meet the needs of the communities we serve. This group of talented and energetic staff is second to none, and we are now currently looking to hire new part-time employees to expand our team!

-Kid Zone Counselors (Sites in Plainfield, Joliet, Bolingbrook, and Romeoville)
-Teen REACH Counselors (Sites in Joliet)

Part-Time Employees receive the following benefits:

Triple the Fun at the YMCA: My Y Rewards Special July Earnings Event

TRIPLE POINTS WEDNESDAYS

The Y is here to help our members get the most out of their summer and, with the calendar featuring five Wednesdays in the month of July, the Y is offering a special bonus for My Y Rewards program participants.

Greater Joliet Area YMCA Facility Members, ages 16 and up, enrolled in the My Y Rewards program will receive triple rewards points every time they check in at the Y on Wednesdays in the month of July.

JETS Swim Team Set to Begin Practices at the Morris Hospital YMCA in September

One of the area’s most historic youth swimming clubs, the JETS Swim Team is a year-round competitive swim program that offers instruction and training for swimmers ages 6-17. 

The JETS support the YMCA’s mission of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities, and our professional team of coaches strive to not only build strong swimmers but caring, honest, respectful, and responsible children and young adults. Swimmers learn the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and goal-setting while developing their competitive swimming skills.

We are excited to announce that the JETS will begin training at the new Morris Hospital YMCA beginning this fall! 

If your child is interested in joining the JETS, we invite you to participate in one of our upcoming swim clinics, which provide opportunities for swimmers to meet some of the coaches and learn new swim skills. Throughout each clinic, coaches will be evaluating swimmers to determine if they meet criteria to be placed on the team.
