    The Morris Community YMCA’s annual summer hours go into effect starting Sunday, May 27.

    • Monday-Thursday: 5 a.m.-9 p.m.
    • Friday: 5 a.m.-8 p.m.
    • Saturday: 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
    • Sunday: Closed

    In observance of Memorial Day, all Greater Joliet Area YMCA locations will close at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 28.

  • Summer Camp Registration is Underway

    YMCA summer camps offer an action-packed, adventure-filled experience, where young people can make new friends while having a whole lot of fun! At Y camp, kids laugh, learn, explore and grow, while creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

    At the Y, no one is turned away due to the inability to pay. Financial assistance is available. DHS funds are also accepted.

  • Water Safety Day

    Saturday, June 2
    10:30 a.m.-Noon

    With National Water Safety Month in May and summer around the corner, now is a great time for parents to remember the importance of equipping children with essential water safety skills.

    To learn how you can keep your kids safe in and around water, join the Morris YMCA at Goold Park for a community-wide Water Safety Day, led by the Greater Joliet Area YMCA Aquatics Team.

    • Take part in an interactive, dry land exercise centered on critical water safety skills.
    • Have your child(ren) properly fitted for a life jacket.
    • Enter raffles to win exciting prizes such as YMCA swim lessons, life jackets and pool toys.


    • The first 150 guests will receive a complimentary lunch courtesy of the City of Morris and Costco.
    • After the event, families are invited to spend the afternoon at the Morris City Pool.With proof of Water Safety Day attendance (tickets provided), admission will be free!

  • Fitness Fun Under the Sun

    Outdoor Exercise Classes

    This summer, the Y is offering weekly outdoor fitness classes that are FREE and open to the community.

    This is a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy the weather without having to skip your workout.

    Thursdays, 9:30-10:30 a.m. (June 7-August 9)

    All classes are free and open to the community. Participants must be 12 years of age or older. No registration is required. In cases of inclement weather, classes will be canceled. Please contact your local branch or check the Y’s Facebook page for cancellation announcements.

  • Specialty Summer Camps

    This summer, we’re teaming up with the Grundy Area Vocational Center (GAVC) to offer six specialty camps for children in grades 5-9.

    • Agriculture Camp (NEW!)
    • Automotive and Building Basic Skills Camp
    • Computer Graphic Skills Camp
    • How to Be A Hero Camp (NEW!)
    • Kids in the Kitchen Camp
    • Teens in the Kitchen Camp

    Registration is underway!
    Taught by GAVC instructors, these camps will be offered on the GAVC campus adjacent to Morris Community High School.
