Facility Hours

Monday-Thursday: 5 a.m.-9 p.m.

Friday: 5 a.m.-8 p.m.

Saturday: 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

Sunday: 7 a.m.-Noon

Holidays

The YMCA is closed on all major holidays including Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The branch will be open until 1 p.m. on Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve.

Kids Corner Supervised Playroom Hours

Open to children ages 6 months-10 years old.

Monday-Thursday: 9-11 a.m., 4-6:30 p.m.

Friday: 9-11 a.m.

Saturday: 8-10 a.m.

For safety and security reasons, we ask that members present a membership card for themselves and their child(ren) when they are checking into Kids Corner. Parents must remain in the facility while their children are in Kids Corner. Youth, ages 11 and up, can spend time in the Y’s Community Room playing board games, studying and visiting with other members.

Morris Hospital Partnership

Growing Stronger Together

In 2014, the Morris Community YMCA and Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers announced the formation of a partnership to enhance the health and wellness of Grundy County residents. In 2015, these two organizations came together to open and operate the new temporary Morris Community YMCA. Located in downtown Morris in the former City Hall, this new facility officially opened to the public on January 5, 2015.

Since opening its doors on Wauponsee Street, the Y and Morris Hospital have collaborated to offer a wide variety of programming in the temporary facility, including group exercise classes, youth enrichment and teen programs, senior wellness programs, child watch services, and a number of medically-based fitness programs and community wellness initiatives.

To further grow its impact in the community, the Y announced plans in 2018 for the development of a new full-facility in partnership with Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers. This new 50,000-square-foot YMCA and healthcare center will feature:

Gathering and Meeting Space
Outdoor Space for Summer Camps, Youth Sports, and Before and After School Programming

Through this unique collaboration, the Y and Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers will work to create new and innovative programs that will have a long-lasting impact on the health and wellness of Grundy County residents for generations to come.
