REGISTRATION FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR IS UNDERWAY
Before & After School Care
We know that learning doesn’t end when the school bell rings. The way your children spend time outside the classroom can make a big difference in their personal development and your family-life balance. YMCA Kid Zone provides a safe place for children to keep their mind and body active while learning social skills and positive values.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES
The YMCA remains dedicated to working with our partner school districts to provide much-needed child care for families during the 2021-2022 school year. Assuming students will be returning to full-time in-person instruction in the fall, the YMCA will offer its traditional before and after school Kid Zone program beginning in August 2021.
PLEASE NOTE: Instruction plans for the 2021-2022 school year will be determined by each individual school district. This information will be shared with students and their families by their school district. As it has throughout the 2020-2021 school year, the Y’s Kid Zone program will continue to evolve to coordinate with each school district’s plan for instruction.
Health and Safety Guidelines
Because the safety of our community remains our top priority, we have made modifications to our policies and programs to facilitate new safety and social distancing guidelines. To maintain a healthy and safe environment, all Kid Zone participants and staff will be required to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, including:
• Daily health screenings and temperature checks
• Mask requirements
• Frequent hand washing
• Students will be divided into small groups by grade levels to ensure social distancing can be maintained throughout the day. Each group will have its own designated spaces and equipment.
• High-touch areas are sanitized hourly.
