Are you ready to lace up your sneakers and conquer your running goals? Designed for beginners and aspiring runners alike, our eight-week Couch to 5K training program will provide you with a structured roadmap to build endurance, strength, and confidence step-by-step. With a supportive community, personalized coaching, and a dash of determination, you’ll soon discover the exhilarating thrill of crossing that finish line and unlock a whole new level of fitness and accomplishment.
Dates: Mondays from August 4-September 22
Time: 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Weekly classes will include an educational topic, question and answer session, and a group walk/run. All participants will receive an eight-week training plan and save $10 on their registration for the 2025 Corn Fest 5K, which will be held on Saturday, September 27.
Cost: $80 for Facility Members, $160 for Community Members
About the Instructor:
Christy Lamaze, a certified NASM Personal Trainer, will lead this program. Christy has completed numerous marathons, most recently the Berlin Marathon, and has logged more than 2,000 race miles. She is currently training to compete in the Chicago Half-Marathon and plans to run the New York Marathon.
