Try a Group Setting
If you’re not too sure which fitness class or exercise is right for you, you may want to consider taking a group exercise class. Group exercise classes are a great way to try different types of workouts and figure out which ones are best for you.
At the Y, you’ll find many group fitness classes that are included with your YMCA membership. Be sure to check out our online schedule to view all of our available classes for each session.
Ask for Assistance
Starting your fitness journey can be daunting, but the Y offers many different opportunities for those who are new to exercising, including free fitness consultations.
If you’re a new Y member, you may want to sign-up for a complimentary fitness consultation. During a one-on-one session, our fitness staff will help you to identify your health and wellness goals, provide you with a fitness evaluation, and give you an orientation of our Wellness Center.
