Programs with a Purpose
Our Youth Sports programs maximize the positive effects of athletics by emphasizing healthy competition and promoting teamwork. The Y focuses on the life lessons that can be learned from sports, and our coaches strive to instill a positive self-image in each player.
The YMCA’s Youth T-Ball is a great introduction to baseball for your child. Players will develop skills for baseball including throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and sportsmanship.
Facility and community members from all Greater Joliet Area YMCA branches are eligible to participate. Players will play 7 games at the Y and will be provided a hat and jersey. Anyone signed up after August 10 will not be guaranteed a uniform by the first game. Practices are one weekday evening, Monday or Wednesday and begin the week of August 24. Games are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, beginning September 14 and 16. Practices and games may be offsite.
