  • Summer Camp Registration is Underway

    YMCA summer camps offer an action-packed, adventure-filled experience, where young people can make new friends while having a whole lot of fun! At Y camp, kids laugh, learn, explore and grow, while creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime.

    June 4-August 10

    At the Y, no one is turned away due to the inability to pay. Financial assistance is available. DHS funds are also accepted.

  • Summer Sports Camps

    YMCA sports camps focus on fundamental skills and promote the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. Each camp is filled with positive activities that encourage campers to participate in active games and team challenges. Our number one goal is fun!

    The Morris YMCA is offering eight exciting sports camps this summer, including basketball, floor hockey, kickball and soccer, among others.

  • Hop Into Easter

    At the Smith Family YMCA

    Saturday, March 24
    11 a.m.-1 p.m.

    Celebrate the Easter season with your friends and family at the Y! Free and open to the community, this special event includes an Easter egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, holiday treats and crafts.

  • Camp Counselor in Training (CIT) Leadership Program

    The summer camp environment provides a unique opportunity for youth to build leadership skills by gaining hands-on experience assisting our team of camp counselors with our younger campers. Open to registered summer day campers entering grades 7-8, the goal of the Y’s Counselor in Training (CIT) program is to teach teens leadership skills that can be used at school, home and in the community.

    In order to apply to participate in the Counselor in Training Program, prospective participants must:

    • Be a registered summer day camper in grades 7-8 (fall 2018). Regular camp fees apply.
    • Submit a CIT application
    • Submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher, coach or pastor
    • Participate in an in-person interview with our Youth and Family team

    Applications and accompanying materials must be submitted by Friday, April 13.

  • “Know How To Go” Business Etiquette Workshop

    For High School Students

    This workshop will prepare you for success on your pathway to the workplace. You’ll receive training on prepping your resume, dressing for the workplace and acing job interviews. We’ll also show you the effectiveness of both verbal and non-verbal communication. By the end of the session, you’ll “Know How to Go!”

    10-11:30 a.m.

    Open to students in grades 9-12.
    Advance registration is required. Register online or by calling (815) 729-9638, ext. 611. Free for YMCA Facility Members, $5 for Community Members.
