Camp is Wrap – See You in 2019!
At the Galowich Family YMCA, we provide a safe, affordable and fun summer day camp program for youth and teens. YMCA Summer Day Camp offers kids a chance to have fun and develop new friendships while building a healthy spirit, mind and body.
Perks of being a YMCA camper:
- Ten weeks of fun
- Weekly field trips (see lineup below)

- We swim almost every day
- Complimentary lunch and snacks from the Northern Illinois Food Bank

7 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Friday
June 4-August 10
Pre-Camp & Post Camp Dates
Families can also register for pre-camp and post-camp child care. Pre-camp and post-camp dates are not included in camp fees.
- Pre-camp: May 29-June 1
- Post-camp: August 13-17
Facility Members: $190 per child
Community Members: $215 per child
*Plus a one-time registration fee of $45 per child

“Go Blue” Water Safety Program: A camp program designed to help all non-swimmers and intermediate swimmers develop the strength, confidence and skill to “Go Blue”. DETAILS>>
Counselor in Training (CIT) Leadership Program: A program that allows campers entering grades 7-8 to work alongside our camp staff and gain leadership experience. DETAILS>>
Sports Camps: For campers who want to branch out into athletic activities, the Y offers a wide variety of summer sports camps. DETAILS>>
Teen Volunteer Opportunities: Area high school students are invited to volunteer at YMCA Summer Camp. With flexible schedules and a variety of volunteer roles available, you will be sure to find an opportunity that peaks your interest and proves to be a rewarding experience. AT THE Y, NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY DUE TO THE INABILITY TO PAY.
Financial assistance is available. DHS funds are also accepted.
