Jets Y Swim Team seeks Assistant Coaches and Disability Coach

The Joliet Jets Y Swim Team is looking for coaches to work with developmental age groups beginning in September 2007. Applicants should be energetic, motivated to develop young strokes and minds, and will conform to team philosophies and goals. Coaches will need to be regularly available for early evening practices. Wage will be commensurate with experience; USA Swimming registration, ASCA membership, ASCA trainings and other trainings will be paid for by the team. The JETS are also searching for a coach experienced in working with athletes with disabilities to work with a practice group specifically for swimmers with disabilities. This coach will be under the direction of and supported by the Head Coach and will assist with the recruitment of athletes, writing workouts, adapting workouts, and incorporating swimmers with disabilities into practices and meets that best enhances the development and experience for the entire team. This coach should be prepared to work with swimmers who are deaf, blind, or have a physical or mental disability. Trainings and memberships to USA Swimming, IPC Swimming, and ASCA will be paid for by the team.
