Greater Joliet Area Family YMCA
Central City Summer Camp

Last Update: September15, 2006

Funded almost entirely through grants and contributions, most of the Central City participants come from economically challenged families and would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in YMCA programs. With juvenile crime on the rise during the summer months when kids are out of school--the Central City YMCA camp gives youth a safe, positive place to be during that critical time. This helps individuals disassociate from gangs and become productive members of society.

We say we build strong kids, strong families, strong communities--the Central City branch of your YMCA proves that we do. We would like to thank United Way, Caterpillar, Joliet Township, City of Joliet, Exchange Club, Holly Club and everyone else who has contributed to the funding of these programs.

You have helped make a difference in these children's lives!
